The Hollywood Actress' Debut + The Ssanti Dancer's Debut Performance!!: Renee Anne Ngo's 18th!!

- January 16, 2010, Saturday, Century Park Hotel, 6:30pm

- I went to my neighbor Abun's house around 5:30, since I'd be hitching a ride with her to Renee's 18th.

- We left around 6:45 since it took her a long time to fix her eye make up. Her family was also preparing, since they needed to attend a wedding reception at the Century Park Hotel as well. What a coincidence.

- We arrived at the hotel later than expected because of the heavy traffic, but gladly, the celebration started late.

- It was nice to see some of my friends who I haven't seen for a long time, like another neighbor who also studies in Ateneo (yes, I barely see him in our building, or in school. Hi Arvy.)

- I had a great time messing around with Chui Ting and her other friends who were into Kpop as well.

- Renee's Hollywood-themed party was a blast. The variety of food (especially the dessert) were all well-prepared from the presentation down to the taste.

- After all the intermissions, and all the usual segments in a debut, Lennie and friends were supposed to dance a kpop (+ Boom Boom Pow) dance medley. To surprise Renee, Chui Ting and I had a plan beforehand. When Brown Eyed Girls' Abracadara was on, I would enter the stage and dance with them ssanti style. After that, I would have a "solo" dance number - SNSD's Gee. (I have memorized the dance beforehand, so it was OK for me to do the number.)

- Lennie and her friends (Chui Ting, Chinee, Teresa and Katrina) returned centuries after they ran off to change their clothes. (The host was almost panicking while thinking of something to do, since Lennie and her gang took a long time to change from their formal attire to their dance attire.)

- Renee took a seat at one of the dining tables to watch the dance. Minutes later, Abracadabra (the last song of the medley) started, and I entered the stage. This immensely surprised Renee....as well as everyone else. No one knew I was going to dance, except for me, and Lennie's "Kpop dance troupe."

- Gee came on shortly, and Renee was even more surprised (again, as well as the guests who were still present that time) upon seeing my ssanti dance act (ssanti dance [noun, Korean origin] = cheap dance; it refers to a dance parody of another dance, etc.)

- After my almost-impromptu performance, Renee gave her final message. (I wanted to do another SNSD dance, but my body didn't allow me. I was too tired, and I was sweating by the bucket. Besides, my neighbor's family was done with the wedding reception, and we needed to go home.)

- My neighbor and I said our quick thanks to Renee and her parents, before leaving the area and finally meeting up with my neighbor's family. They were waiting patiently outside the ballroom.

- Well, what can I say. Today was one of the highlights of my stressful week, and the more stressful week to come. Gladly, I was able to go to Renee's debut even if I'm slowly being devoured by many requirements and slight problems in almost everything. It was quite a short night, but definitely one to be remembered always.

- Final Note (to Chui Ting, Kat, Lennie, Tere, Chinee): Gee Gee Gee Gee Beybeh Beybeh Beybeh......................PPABO!!!! :D:D:D:D
