Feb 27, 2009 (FRIDAY)
- our group went to CCA (across Ateneo lang) to interview our contact, Ms. Iris Capitulo, since CCA is our client for our Public Relations final project.
- after the interview, Ms. Capitulo was kind enough to tour us around CCA, just to get a better look at the culinary school.
- We came across this tiny restaurant-like place, where the servers and the cooks were Level 4 (ata) students of CCA. This is, if I'm not mistaken, a place where they can practice hands on their skills in cooking and serving in a restaurant. The tiny room was open to the public (ata). This little room is not open everyday, only every other month specific days, depending on the availability of the students. Due to the different "shifts", the menu changes every time. They serve breakfast from 6:30-9am, and lunch from 11:30-2pm.
- When we got there, they were serving a 3 course mean, excluding the bread basket, the plate of heaping butter, and the bottomless drinks. The first course was a sort of vegetable soup....it's cool because they serve the soup only with the contents of the soup (in short, yung laman ng soup, hinid mismo yung sabaw). Then they pour the broth after they serve the "dry" soup. The second course was a choice of chicken or lamb. Without thinking, I ordered the chicken with mushrooms inside (I'm not a super lamb fan din kasi....matrabahong kainin kung minsan). The lamb however, was a big big platter with lamb of course, ratatouille and barley. The last course was dessert. The dessert was a platter of 1. an ice cream sandwich with cookies and cream ice cream sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies. Poured over was a type of unknown sweet sauce. 2. a scoop of strawberry ice cream over carrot cake, 3. a mini fried crepe shaped liked a bowl with caramel ice cream inside. "Lasang leche flan" as Melo would say. :D:D:D:D
Fine dining talaga ano?? CCA kasi eh. Syempre kelangan fine dining. The service was excellent, our table server was very accomodating, and the cooks were very quick in preparing our dishes!!!! Maganda rin ang ambience (with flamenco music pa o di ba??) After dining, you'll also have that light and happy feeling Eto nga lang....
ALAM NIYO BA MAGKANO PER HEAD????
1000??? No...........
Hmm....800???? STILL NO....
500?? Mura na yan ah based on the menu....BUT STILL NO....
OK SIRIT....
ALAM NIYO MAGKANO????
TRY............................................50 PESOS. (No typo, as in FIFTY PESOS talaga)
YES FRIENDS OF THE WORLD!!!! 50 PESOS LANG ANG FINE DINING EXPERIENCE NA ITO.... (nasa Ripley's Believe It Or Not dapat ito....kasi maygad....sobrang mura....mas mura pa sa kinakain namin sa school)
Yun nga lang, this wasn't really meant to be a restaurant kasi, but more of a training ground for CCA students, like what I said earlier. Kaya it's not opened araw araw....and every other month lang, kasi depende sa students kung abot na nila yung specific level na yun. Haha :D:D:D:D
By the way. Kahit inorder ko yung chicken, I still got a taste of the large lamb platter....since Alyssa and Leslie couldn't finish their food. Haha. Yes, I was that desperate....and GOODNESS....THE LAMB WAS HEAVENLY. :D:D:D:D
