The Nothing-But-Eat Day: Post-Birthday Treat

- September 29, 2012, Saturday.

- Today was a busy day. After my early-dismissed morning class, which I'm quite thankful for, I rested and freshened up at home before meeting my friend Margarette at Lucky Chinatown Mall for a light lunch.

- I saw my former classmate Karen, who's working under Megaworld, and had a chat with her until Margarette came to meet me/us. We later left Karen alone at her booth, while Marga and I ate lunch at Kogi Bulgogi to satisfy our Korean-food craving, although I only highly suggest Kogi, if there are other better (and more authentic) choices.

- Marga and I went to do some errands, and each bought a cone of ice cream, and met Clarisse and her brother Jason for our dimsum "tea party." Clarisse baked me a box of Ferrero-cored nutella cupcakes (heavenly beyond words) for my birthday. (Thank you!!)

- We later visited my friend Pei Mei in her store in City Square to do some errand-shopping again. Fortunately, I was able to catch her baby, who was sleeping soundly in her store. I've only seen the baby through photos and videos during the past six months of the baby's budding existence.

- Clarisse, Margarette, and Jason went home around 6, and left me to join my evening agenda. I passed by Lucky Chinatown again to meet my friend Oi Kwan, who just arrived from Hong Kong earlier today for a very very short vacation. She was with some of her high school friends, whom I was also glad to see again.

- As for me, I went to meet up some of my high school buddies in Yellow Cab. My friend Karel and I shared the bill, since we both shared the same birthday. Oliver contributed the drinks.

- My friend Bless suggested that we go to Lucky Chinatown after dinner, and she and Genevieve would treat us to dessert as a post-birthday gift.

- The five of us stayed there until the mall was about to close. It only meant that we haven't really had enough meet-ups (or short but long gatherings.) Still, I can say that I made most out of my day, and I'm thankful that I was able to spend time with everyone today. :D:D:D:D

Iranian Wallflowers And The Most Uncomfortable Shoes

- September 27, 2012, Thursday.

- Marge, Grace, and I planned to meet today, so we could celebrate my 2-days late birthday. Marga chose to eat at Robinson's Arya, as an alternative to our usual meals at Korean restaurants.

- Marga and I met Grace at Arya after purchasing a pack of band-aids to cushion (and aid) my suffering feet from the most uncomfortable shoes. I bought the shoes last year in Jaipur, India, and haven't worn them since then. I figured it'd be a good opportunity to wear them now, since I wouldn't be walking too much or too fast, and the shoes did fit in the Iranian theme of the restaurant. Still, my feet suffered.

- We had a feast. We had beef koobileh, murgh tanoori, vegetable curry, and a bread-and-dip platter. On top of that, I was also able to take a picture with one of the staff wearing a traditional Iranian costume.

-  We decided to watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower after having dessert. I felt the movie was depressing, not because I didn't like it (I liked it, I really did,) but it just made me feel depressed and sad, or made me feel sorry for the characters in the movie. It also reminded me of the British series, Skins, although Skins left me a sort of happy vibe after watching the series.

- We did some errands after the movie, and sat down at Mary Grace to have a really really light snack, and rode all the way home. Today, I was more than thankful that Grace let me ride with her (and Marga) home. My feet were killing me, but despite this, I had a nice afternoon with both of them.

Santa Claus in September: In Red, and with Food

- September 25, 2012, Tuesday (Happy Birthday to me!!)

- I decided to spend my birthday in a very simple manner, despite the elegant red Chinese/Machurian shirt + vest I decided to wear.

- After a morning full of head-throbbing paper-writing, I bought two cakes to be given to the School of Music, and the elementary DSA, where my friend Jane works (and where two cute kiddos, Brent and Brielle, hang out during lunch, since their mom works there too.)

- Later on, I ordered two huge and heavy pizzas, so I could share them with really good friends, and some former theater-group people. I was also glad that Camille and Thomas were able to go, even when they're now in college.

- It was a short afternoon, and definitely a fulfilling one. I'm still looking forward to the following days, since I'll be celebrating my post-birthday with other friends, most of whom I haven't seen in a long time. :) :) :) :)
