- July 18, 2012, Wednesday.
- My good friend Debbie and I have been excited to see each other this year, since she wasn't able to come home form Canada last year. We decided the other day to go to MOA, and this time, our friend Harold joined us, as well as Debbie's little sister Jasmine.
- Harold crashed my house this morning, just after I had taken a bath and half-eaten my breakfast. We waited for a while before we met Debbie, Jasmine, and their brother Neil, who was awesome to drive us to MOA.
- We bought tickets to the 1:30 show of The Amazing Spiderman, and went ahead to have lunch at Yakimix. The Yakimix branch in MOA seemed to have better tasting food than the one I tried in Tomas Morato 2 years ago - either that or Yakimix itself in general improved their food and system.
- We all rolled and bounced to the cinema after lunch, and since it was a Wednesday, it was easier to get seats inside the theater. The movie itself was OK, nothing too special as always, and I thought that the Lizard's tail looked like a giant bitter gourd. There was also a guy who couldn't shut up in the theater since he was answering a phone call; a person who sat in front of him "kindly" asked him to shut his yapper.
- We later tried Sebastian's Cold Comfort, a specialized ice cream store that sold cold desserts with interesting twists. We tried their famous ice-cream dimsum with chocolate fondue, and their mango split. The house water was also amusing by itself; they served lemon-flavored water.
- We walked around after a late afternoon dessert, and waited until their brother came to join us for dinner. Jasmine wanted to drop by Timezone to have a little youthful fun, so we did. I had a tough air-hockey competition with Debbie, and she won by a point. Haha.
- We had dinner at Boon Tong Kee, with a lovely view of the fire-colored Manila Bay sunset sky, until the sun completely hid from everyone. As for us, we had a very filling dinner of succulent boiled chicken, crispy cereal shrimp, and much more.
- We had a short trip to Kultura before heading home, and as always, the car ride on the way home was just as interesting and chatty.
- I'm really glad that we were able to spend our time well today, although Harold said that had we gone out tomorrow, we might be able to watch Batman. Oh well, Batman can wait, but meeting Debbie (and her sister and brother) at least once every year is something to look forward to. Hope we'll be able to meet again next year. :D:D:D:D
