Neighbors' Night Out: Chinatown After Dark

- November 21, 2013, Thursday.

- My neighbors and I decided to have dinner one evening, since we haven't hung out with just the three of us ever; it's usually one with the other, but never the three of us. Finally, after how many years, we were able to find time to just sit, talk, and do what neighbors do - um, be neighborly to each other.

- We first went to Noodles Every Day (yes, they spelled it that way,) a noodle house that has been open for just the past few months, and located at Benavidez Street, near the Salazar corner (near Waiying, Liberty Hall, and Wan Kee Bakery.) The noodles here are hand-made like in Lanzhou, but I preferred the noodle soup dishes here since they had more variety and more toppings. My favorite so far is "Everyday Ramen," because the noodle soup contained veggies, meat, dumplings, fish balls, and other toppings. It's the most expensive noodle dish - at a very cheap and reasonably price of 150php. The bowl seemed medium-sized, but Bless and Charmaine weren't able to finish their bowls; I had difficulty finishing mine, but I did anyway. Part of the restaurant's promo is that for every meal, a free drink was given, either a glass of iced tea or soya milk. We also had a plate of dumplings. They tasted sweet-salty too, but not too overwhelming.

Noodlessss!!!!
- The restaurant had dry noodle dishes, and rice toppings. All of the items are (very very) reasonably priced as well.

- To enjoy the rest of the night, we went to The Tea, as always, at Mandarin Square, to have milk tea and ice cream. I'm glad the milk tea place decided to close later in the evening. It used to close around 5pm, but now it closes around 10:30pm.

Tada!!
Yayyyy for ice cream!!
- We all walked home after a nice dinner and a cozy dessert-plus-post-dinner-milk-tea. This is just one of the nights that I'm glad that many cozy and affordable comfort-food restaurants are within my neighborhood's reach.
