The Eat-a-thon Double Birthday

- October 12, 2013, Saturday.

- It's been quite a while since I've hung out with a large group of people, and it's been a year since I last saw most of my companions tonight. Some weeks ago, Robina and I planned to celebrate our double-birthday again this year, with some of Robina's former classmates whom I have grown close to as well. We celebrated at Mann Hann Lucky Chinatown, and weird enough, we ate so quickly that we finished our big dinner in less than an hour. We all ate the cake Cedric gave Robina and me, and it was honestly one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever eaten in my whole life; it wasn't too sweet, and it was silky in texture. Needless to say, I ate it quickly as much as I wanted to savor every moment.

- Everyone thought that the cake was our "dessert," but Robina and I planned to have an extended bonding time and dessert at Rainbow Snow. Cedric had a lot of weird topics to talk about, but oh well, that's Cedric and we like him just the way he is. (Haha.) I hope we can do this again next year. I really miss these people a lot.

Asian Banquet with the Freshmen: I Was A Daddy For a Night

- October 6, 2012, Saturday.

- After a three- week postponing of what was supposed to be an impromptu gathering, I was able to push through with my plan of meeting with a certain group of people 5 years my junior, who used to study in the same alma mater as I did, and are now freshmen in their own fields in college.

- I met them today at Little Asia Lucky Chinatown at 6pm. The traffic around the area (even reaching my house,) so much so that many of us who lived quite close had to walk all the way to Lucky Chinatown, and those who came by car had the toughest time braving the traffic.

- It's been a while since I last saw these people, and an Asian banquet seemed to be the perfect way to celebrate this soiree, but also my post-birthday.

- My friend Robina offered to share the bill with me for her post-birthday, but I told her to pay just a small fraction of the bill, especially since she suggested that she'd treat us to dessert/milk tea. We all agreed to go to Happy Lemon....to make the night happier. Haha.

- We all proceeded to Happy Lemon, and stood around due to a lack of seats. Interestingly, we were able to move around more easily, and got to talk to each other more than we were able to during our dinner at Little Asia.

- I had a tremendous night with these people, and I look forward to having a get-together with them again, and hopefully, we'd be a bigger group (and with more food to share.)

MASCKS Day: 2 Rajas, A Guru, And Ducks

- September 22, 2012, Saturday.

- After a tiring day at school, I rushed home, changed, and went off to Ersao to meet my friend Julienne for her birthday, together with other close friends in the bunch. Camille and Thomas came later than me, Julienne, and Nicole, and surprised Julienne with a candle-lit cake. Other friends soon came to meet up and hang out.

- After sunset, I rushed to Lucky Chinatown Mall to meet up two good ole buddies - Ryan and Timothy. While waiting for them, I visited my friend Pei Mei at her stall in a nearby mini-mall, and chatted with her as usual.

- I met Ryan later on at Lucky Chinatown, and came across Pei Mei at Lucky Chinatown as well. We had a nice time catching up, before Ryan and I went to Little Asia to meet Timothy.

- The Little Asia branch at Lucky Chinatown seemed to have great food and nice service, despite the cramped space of the restaurant. The most interesting dish we had was coconut squid.

- Timothy later treated us to Starbucks, and Ryan treated us to desserts. (I treated them dinner. HAHA.) We did so much catching up that we were the last customers to leave Starbucks. Timothy and his dad later gave Ryan a lift home.

- Despite lack of sleep, disorientation, and added weight from so much eating today, the day went better than expected. Also, my yellow boots saved me today too.
